NO DIS-RESPECT PLEASE
Rather, what we mean to say is, this ain't farmed ice with refrigerator coils wound around underneath. What that means is: We are not responsible for the weather. This ice formation depends on a combination of sufficient ground water oozing out of the cliff-top (reasonably reliable for ice-making purposes), northern exposure of the cliff face (not likely to change short of a catastrophic geotectonic event); and, environmental (ambient) coldness (the real wild-card on the plains in the days of climate change). So, we'll be monitoring ice conditions (as soon as there's ice to monitor with an axe and crampons) and will be prepared to wave off incoming climbers enough in advance to avoid an all-out riot of outraged, un-iced climbers. No different than anywhere else. Know you ice conditions before you travel...
